A friendly, clean pub with great food and staff. What an amazing gf meal out !!! Well done !
We booked online for a meal for two on Monday 7th July 2025. The booking was confirmed via e-Mail.
We arrived to a very warm welcome. The pub is a beautiful thatched place , easy parking outside on a very quiet road. It is nicely furnished and spotlessly clean !!
The staff are friendly, polite and efficient.
I ordered the Slow cooked Pork Belly with cider gravy……… it was AMAZING !!! I am gluten free and sometimes struggle to have decent meals out. The staff understood and reassured me that the chips are cooked separately and the meal is 100% gf. One of the best meals I’ve had out in years !!! The crackling was perfect, the Pork tender and tasty and the array of vegetables a welcomed accompaniment.
My husband ordered the homemade steak burger which he enjoyed also.
We enjoyed our meals and we will return.
Fantastic Murder Mystery!
A group of us went to the Murder Mystery night on Saturday 8th June - what a fantastic night, full of laughs, entertainment , amazing food and superb hosts!
The local am dram group put on the murder mystery, and from the moment they entered the pub they were all in character, the afternoon and evening progressed with afternoon tea, murder, questioning, acting, mingling with customers, laughs, accusations, reasoning……..culminating in dinner followed by the big reveal - did we get it right?!
The actors - so very professional!
The hosts- truly amazing and could do no more!!
The food - local and cooked to perfection!!!
The pub itself - full of character and a great atmosphere!!!!
The staff- were obliging in every way!!!!!

Whilst on holiday we went for an evening meal. They were having a special Italian night. The crab linguine which we both had was excellent. The staff were super welcoming and we had a very pleasant conversation with them. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely love this place, the food is amazing
Really nice pub, the staff were super friendly, the place was bright and clean and welcoming, most importantly the pie was an actual pie and not a puff pastry lid on a dish
Freshly prepared family meals in a Devonshire village.
Have been dining at the Bell Inn for many years now, we always get a warm welcome and fabulous food. Freshly cooked and something to suit the whole family. This pub is an absolute gem just a couple of miles from the busy coast.
They have a wonderful fish menu all beautifully prepared on order and reasonably priced.
Best Sunday lunch
Amazing Sunday lunch. Plenty of high quality meat I had Lamb partner had beef. Both excellent with the best Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes ever. The vegetables were fresh and cooked to perfection. New to area and our first visit. So good we booked for next Sunday. Highly recommend
